6 must-haves for a cosy winter at home

What does winter mean to you? To us it’s hot beverages, picnic lunches, walks in the cool breeze, exciting movie nights and lots and lots of cuddle time! We’ve got a list of must-haves that will cover you at home, your backyard and even the park!

1. Comforters

The first item on our list, of course, is a no-brainer. A matched comforter set will not only keep you warm and toasty, it will transform the way your bedroom feels. Pick a set that comes with sheets and pillowcases for a pulled together look - try one in satin to feel really luxurious. Satin pillowcases in particular are a good investment as they are believed to prevent your hair from frizzing up.

2. Throws

A few soft and colourful throws are perfect not just for your bedroom, but to keep you toasty while bingeing your favourite show on the couch, curled up in an armchair reading or simply scrolling through your Instagram feed! Drape one at the back of your sofa, armchair or daybed for whenever you need it! #winterfeels

3. Bakeware

Nothing says winter like the smells of baking. Whether it’s holiday treats or comfort food to combat post-holiday blues, you need a kitchen that’s particularly well stocked in baking dishes of all sizes, muffin trays and other important items such as sieves, wooden spoons, mixing bowls, cookie cutters, whisks and more.

4. Barbeque equipment

Actually, this is probably on top of our list, especially this year when spending time outdoors seems to be the safer option. Whether you’re grilling in your own backyard or driving out to a scenic spot, make sure you have all the barbeque equipment needed to knock it out of the park, so to speak! You can even opt for a disposable grill to get you started.

5. Dining

Indoor dining can be transformed too by new serveware and cutlery. But more importantly, during winter it can be a bit of a challenge to keep your food as hot as you like, and for this it makes sense to invest in food warmers and casseroles.

6. Fragrances

And finally, winter maybe all about huddling down cosily, but don’t forget that it can also be fragrant and fresh. Invest in candles, diffusers, fragrance oils and other home fragrances. Spicy or vanilla notes are especially appropriate at this time of the year!
